Scott Burns | CEO & co-Founder
Scott co-founded GovDelivery in 2000 just a few months before the City of St. Paul became the company’s first customer. He has spent the past decade supporting his passion of encouraging open government, civic engagement, and technology innovation in the public sector. Scott believes that effective use of technology provides the best opportunity to make both citizens and government better. Prior to co-founding GovDelivery, Scott was the eighth hire at a software company that grew into a 100+ person company and was a consultant at McKinsey and Company. In 2006, Scott was honored with the “Forty Under 40” award from the Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal and was named one of 5 “Emerging Leaders” by Twin Cities Business magazine. In 2008, he was one of 25 individuals in the private sector named to Federal Computer Week’s (FCW) prestigious Federal 100 list recognizing people who significantly influence how federal government uses information technology. Scott serves on the board of the Saint Paul Chamber of Commerce and the St. Paul Public Schools Foundation. He also sat on the strategic planning advisory committee for the Saint Paul Libraries in 2010 and is an active member of the Minnesota Citizens League. He graduated from Dartmouth College with a degree in Economics. |

Dave Sommerness | Chief Operating Officer
Dave oversees all operations and product development at GovDelivery. Prior to joining the company, Dave spent five years with the H.B. Fuller Company as a Plant Manager, managing one of the company's largest facilities. Before that, he served as an Officer in the U.S. Army and is a decorated combat veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Dave graduated with honors from the U.S. Military Academy at West Point with a degree in Mechanical Engineering and has an MBA with a concentration in Operations Management from the University of Michigan. |

Mark Capaldini | Executive Vice President
Mark leads the GovDelivery customer relationship and marketing efforts across all government markets, including Federal, State, Local, Transit, and International. He comes to GovDelivery with extensive experience in the technology, information services and database industries in government, legal, and professional markets. Prior to joining GovDelivery, Mark was the Vice President of Government Segment Marketing for West/Thomson Reuters, where he led the strategic marketing across all product lines for Federal, State and Local governments and law libraries. He has held positions at Focus, LexisNexis, and The Washington Post. Mark earned a master’s degree from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s degree from Yale University. |

Bobbie Browning | Senior Vice President
Bobbie joined the GovDelivery team in July 2008, bringing with her more than 25 years of federal information technology experience. Since then, she has built and led a team dedicated to improving communications and outreach in the public sector. Bobbie's excellent leadership was recognized in June 2010 with a promotion to Senior Vice President. Her passion is ensuring clients make the most effective use of Digital Communication Management (DCM) services in the context of their mission. Prior to joining GovDelivery, Bobbie held general management, sales and business development positions with a wide variety of government-focused and commercial companies including Wang Laboratories, UB Networks, Fast Search & Transfer, and most recently Wily Technology, a Division of CA. Bobbie is a recognized leader in the IT Industry. She serves as the Membership Chair on the Board of Directors of the Armed Forces Communications & Electronics Association (AFCEA) DC Chapter and is an active member of ACT/IAC. A native of Indiana, Bobbie received her BA from George Washington University. She resides in NW, Washington with her husband, Lee Thomas. They have two grown children. |

Brent Kastner | Vice President of Technology
As GovDelivery's VP of Technology, Brent Kastner ensures that the Product and Technology visions are closely aligned with the goals of the business with a key emphasis on flexibility, adaptability, speed-to-market, and growth. Brent leads the Service Strategy group within GovDelivery comprised of Product Management, Product Development, Technical Sales Engineering, and Architecture disciplines. Brent joined GovDelivery in May of 2007 as Director of Operations and oversaw massive growth in usage of the system. Brent has over 15 years of experience in technology and has held key roles in architecture, design, and implementation of hardware and software infrastructure. Prior to GovDelivery, Brent was a Consulting Manager and Senior Architect for Interwoven, Inc. |

John Cook | Senior Director of Marketing
John is responsible for marketing strategy and execution for GovDelivery. His team manages marketing across all government markets including, Federal, State, Local, Transit and International. He comes to GovDelivery with 15 years experience in technology and software marketing having worked for organizations such as Lawson Software, Safenet and Datakey in his career. |

Natalie Fedie | Director of Client Services
As a Director of Client Services for GovDelivery, Natalie assists government clients in maximizing the effectiveness of their communications and outreach goals. With over fifteen years of Marketing and Public Relations experience in both the public and private sector, Natalie understands the demands and challenges that communications professionals face on a daily basis. Natalie has a BA degree in Psychology from the University of Wisconsin – STOUT and is serving a second term as a School Board Member for the Stillwater Area Public Schools. |

Mike Pearson | Director, State & Local Government Solutions
Mike leads customer relationships for the state and local government markets, including transit. Mike has over 20 years of experience in the government marketplace, with leading suppliers of technology and related services. Early in his career he served as a police officer in a major city. |

Carrie Cisek | Director of Human Resources
Carrie joined GovDelivery full-time in 2009 and oversees GovDelivery Human Resources. She has significant experience managing HR functions as well as developing HR in small organizations, beginning with SafeRent, a tech start-up company in Colorado. After moving to Minnesota in 2004, she began providing consulting services in the area of Human Resources. In addition to her early consulting work with GovDelivery, she had the opportunity to assist start-up schools create their HR frameworks and worked side-by-side with them as they brought their educational concept to reality. Fulfilling a long held desire, she continued with one of the start-up schools and had the opportunity to teach brilliant and enthusiastic 5th and 6th graders for a couple of years while also responsible for the school’s Human Resources. Carrie is an east-coaster and received her B.S. from Penn State. |

Jeremy Greene | Director of Product Management
As Director of Product Management, Jeremy leads the collaborative effort behind GovDelivery’s product strategy and execution, combining feedback from marketing, sales, development, and customers to set the strategic vision and lead the rollout of new products and features. Prior to joining the GovDelivery team, Jeremy spent time at SPS Commerce, Oracle and Accenture. Before embarking on a career in business, Jeremy spent time in the U.S. Navy. Jeremy received his undergraduate degree in Political Science from North Dakota State and his MBA from the Carlson School of Management, University of Minnesota. |

David Worsell | Director, Government Solutions, GovDelivery UK
David has over fifteen years experience consulting on and developing advanced information management, electronic publishing and communication systems. Having previously worked for The Stationery Office (TSO), a major UK government publisher and the largest publisher by volume in the United Kingdom, David is well versed in the challenges that public sector organizations must overcome in order to deliver timely, accurate and relevant information to the general public. During his career, David has been involved in major projects including development of ePublishing solutions for major UK public sector organizations including Parliament, The National Archives, Highways Agency, Driving Standards Agency, HMRC and the Central Office of Information. David graduated from Southbank University with a BSc in Computer Studies.

Steve Ressler | Founder & President, GovLoop
Steve Ressler is the Founder and President of GovLoop.com, the "Facebook for Government" which connects and fosters collaboration among over 40,000 members of the government community. On GovLoop, members use social media such as blogs, videos, and forums to discuss best practices and share ideas on improving government. GovLoop won the 2009 Federal 100 Award, the 2009 AFCEA Bethesda Social Media Award, and was a finalist for the 2009 ACT/IAC Intergovernmental Solutions Award. Most recently, Mr. Ressler was named one of 2010 Top 25 Doers, Dreamers and Drivers by Government Technology. Mr. Ressler is also the co-founder of Young Government Leaders (YGL), a professional organization of over 2,000 government employees across the U.S. |

Joseph Porcelli | Director, Professional Services
Prior to joining GovDelivery, Joseph served as the first Community Engagement Strategist for the U.S Department of Homeland Security. He led Online Operations and Partnerships for the ServiceNation legislation campaign; founded NeighborsForNeighbors.org which operates the first neighborhood social network; developed new online and offline organizing models for the Boston Police Department; worked as the Senior Associate for a CRM consulting firm; and received awards and international media attention for leading the Nametag and Mug Projects. Joseph lives and dreams engagement. |
