Giving Back

As a company that works closely with government organizations that serve the public’s needs, GovDelivery feels strongly about playing an active role in the lives of those in need. That’s why our employees give back their time and resources to a number of organizations whose mission is to contribute to the greater good in our communities.

We’re proud of our record of working within our communities, and encourage you to find out more about the organizations we support.

Believing that home ownership promotes economic stability in our communities, many GovDelivery employees have contributed their time and talents since 2002 over the years to the Twin Cities Habitat for Humanity organization. Whether they’re swinging a hammer, framing a house or helping landscape a newly constructed home, our staff members take pride in their work on behalf of Habitat for Humanity – and the families who now have a warm place to call home. Acting in a variety of ways as a community safety net, the Salvation Army provides desperately needed services such as meals and clothing to thousands of individuals each and every day. GovDelivery employees frequently contribute their time to help serve meals and interact with these members of our community who gain comfort from simply knowing that someone cares about them. GovDelivery works with Genesys Works, a non-profit organization dedicated to building bridges between economically disadvantaged high school students and local businesses, since it started in 2008. GovDelivery is one of many Minneapolis/St. Paul companies that employs several students associated with Genesys Works in a variety of technology-oriented positions, with the goal of increasing job opportunities upon graduation. GovLoop, a division of GovDelivery and the premier social network for government, brings the “awesomeness” to the next level by tying in philanthropy with government 2.0 through the AwesomeGov Fund.

GovLoop is a big believer in social entrepreneurship – companies like Tom’s Shoes that donate one pair of shoes for every pair of shoes purchased. We’ve been a big supporter of initiatives like the GovLoop Kiva groups, where over 65 GovLoopers have already come together to donate over $10,000 to charity, and big fans of the fine folks at the Combined Federal Campaign.
