Health Agencies, including the CDC, Colorado Department of Public Health & Environment, Texas Health & Human Services, Nebraska Department of Health & Human Services and the Minnesota Department of Health are already communicating with their residents on a regular basis using GovDelivery's Email & Digital Subscription Management (EDSM) system.

Minnesota Department of Health (MDH) selected GovDelivery, a web-based digital subscription management solution, to monitor their website for content updates. MDH wanted to utilize email notifications to better communicate health-related information to state residents and reduce printing and mailing costs on 10-15 specific newsletters that were costing the department several hundred thousand dollars per year. Additionally, the MDH wanted to provide website visitors with a single profile that lists all of their email notification choices.

MDH launched GovDelivery's Email and Digital Subscription Management service in an effort to reach out to the public proactively with automatic email updates. Residents can choose from a variety of topics from MDH's "e-Subscribe Personalized E-mail Updates" service.
