How GovDelivery Works
Administration

GovDelivery was designed with ease in mind, minimizing administrative oversight and hassle
  • GovDelivery is web-based, eliminating the need to install hardware and software.
  • It is 100% compatible with ALL content management solutions so you do not have to change the way content is managed on your website.
  • The system takes less than 30 days to set up.
  • It is easily scaled across multiple departments.

Three Easy Steps for GovDelivery Setup

1) Identify content that is updated regularly.
GovDelivery Account Managers conduct a thorough survey of a client's website and identify possible subscription items. The final decision on what to make available for subscription is up to the client.

2) Place subscription links where content is updated on homepage and throughout the site.
  1. Place links next to content that is updated so web visitors will encounter them when they are looking for specific information.
  2. Place links on the homepage and sidebar to let people know that you offer email alerts.

3) Continue managing website content as usual.
Administrators receive automated email notifications when content changes. The email can be sent automatically or the administrator can modify the text before sending it out. From start to finish, the process takes less than 30 seconds.
