Trusted Class Email Lets Citizens Confirm Legitimacy

Since the City of Rochester launched GovDelivery earlier this year, interested residents have received more than 16,000 email updates on a wide variety of topics including: Mayo Civic Center Events, Current Council Agendas, Construction Bids, Home Page News & Announcements, and Public Transporations News. Subscribers are immediately notified as soon as any of these topics are updated on the City of Rochester website.
Since launching GovDelivery in January of 2007, the City of Rochester has:
- Sent more than 16,000 emails
- Signed up more than 2,100 subscribers

Douglas County, CO
The Douglas County Board of County Commissioners issued a directive to improve public access to and receipt of information. The County recently announced the launch of the GovDelivery Subscription service to include emergency management alerts on cell phones, pagers, and other text-enabled devices.
Subscribers are offered more than 70 different subscription categories from all County departments. The automated subscription service is accessible from both the Douglas County Government and Douglas County Sheriff's Office web site (www.dcsheriff.net).
