Menlo Park Now E-mailing 56-Page City Magazine to Improve Service and Reduce Cost
Menlo Park, CA - Menlo Park Mayor Nicholas Jellins hosted an online sign-up event this summer to launch the City's new "Menlo Home Delivery Email" service, using GovDelivery. The Mayor personally helped explain and sign-up residents to receive the 56-page recreation class magazine called the Activity Guide. The publication had been previously sent out City wide by U.S. mail.
Public Information Manager, J. Michael Gonzales says, "This new e-mail service is a tremendous addition to our public communication efforts." Although complete information is not yet available, by offering over 120 subscription options, the City is projecting a significant savings on its public communcations costs.
