Grand Prairie, TX - Children across Grand Prairie, Texas may have received a rescued puppy or kitten this past holiday season thanks to the Prairie Paws Adoption Center's innovative use of e-mail technology to connect people to its "Pets of the Week" website.
"Our Internet efforts are a great success," said Fred Sanderson, Animal Services Manager for Grand Prairie, "we are matching people to animals in need more efficiently than ever before."
Prairie Paw's has sent over 18,000 e-mail notices to residents interested in "Pets of the Week" resulting in over 11,500 visits to the shelter's site from the e-mail notices.

E-mail Alerts Assist in Communication as Fires Blaze through Southern California
