Product Marketing Manager

Position Summary

Reporting to the Director of Marketing, primary responsibility is driving and managing product marketing plans for the GovDelivery SaaS product. The Product Marketing Manager position is responsible for driving the product launch process through market analysis, competitive research, pricing and business planning. This individual will provide the overall management of developing new products from existing ideas and developing new ideas based on industry/market, interfacing effectively and cross-functionally with Marketing, Development, Sales, Technical Product Manager and Business Operations.

This position requires an individual with strong organizational skills, communication skills, and is capable of bridging the gap between sales and marketing requirements to efficiently bring new products to market.

Responsibilities
  • Manages entire product line life cycle from strategic planning to tactical activities
  • Creation of plans and strategies to assist in achieving product objectives
  • Specifies requirements for current and future products
  • Drives the product marketing launch process across company teams (Marketing, Sales, Development, Client Services, Operations)
  • Manages product go-to-market plan, working with all departments to execute
  • Analyzes potential partners
  • Ensures continuous improvement of product launch process to support faster go-to-market and internal efficiencies
  • Develops strategic product marketing plans through market analysis, competitive research, pricing and business planning.
  • Works closely with the Technical Product Manager to prioritize product ideas and development plans (Product Road Map)
  • Identify key cross-functional activities and deliverables for product launches
  • Works with other functional areas to develop new products or enhance existing ones
  • Acts as technical product advisor for assigned products
  • Track, monitor and report on execution of plans
Key Success Factors
  • 3 + years product marketing experience (post-degree work experience)
  • Experienced (manager role)
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Knowledge and proficiency with CRM.  SalesForce.com preferred.   
  • Experience using SalesForce.com and marketing automation tools.
  • Experience in email marketing, marketing campaigns
  • Enjoys a fast paced environment
